Bring to Camp
- Sheet music
Print and bring your sheet music to camp. Make sure it is the latest version! Go to your track page and follow the instructions to access the Sheet Music Folder. - Packing list
Instrument, sheet music, pencil, weather-appropriate clothing, medications... Label all bags/instrument cases! - Booking confirmation
Bring your booking confirmation printed out or on your phone so you can show the barcode at registration. - Insurance
Make sure you have your own insurance for yourself and your instrument, since Side by Side does not cover any possible damage.
Registration & Access
In your schedule, you can see when and where to register. Registration can also take place on Friday 12 June 17:00–20:00 at the camp's Kansli, Konserthuset (camp reception in foyer).
When you register, you will receive a red camp wristband that must be worn throughout the entire camp. It gives you access to meals, venues, rehearsals, and concerts. If the wristband is lost or breaks, you can get a new one at the camp's Kansli.
You will also receive:
- T-shirt – worn at the concerts you perform in
- Side by Side's tote bag
- Water bottle
- Sticker and camp booklet
NB! Please note that the Pride parade on Saturday will affect traffic in central Gothenburg for both cars and public transportation.
Attendance & Rehearsals
Be there 15 minutes before the start so you have time to find your place, tune, and unpack your instrument.
At Open Choir, Beginners, Children's Choir, and Pre-Upper Voices Choir, rehearsals are held only in Swedish. All other tracks have rehearsals in a mix of Swedish and English.
Attendance is checked only for children in Camp Counselor Groups. Accompanying Adults are responsible for their own children under age 12. Otherwise, participation and attendance are at your own responsibility.
Bags & Instruments
Bags
Larger bags are not allowed in foyers (Scandinavium/Konserthuset). Store luggage at your accommodations. At concerts, the maximum bag size is 21×30×10 cm – this also applies to participants in the audience.
Instruments
Handle all instruments with care – do not run near them, and never move someone else’s instrument without asking.
Storage
Between rehearsals, it is possible to store instruments at the Kansli, Konserthuset (camp reception in foyer) or at Hvitfeldtska Norra. The instruments are not supervised—we do our best to keep them safe, but you leave them at your own risk. We recommend that everyone bring their instrument home or back to their accommodations overnight, with the exception of double basses and tubas.
Transport
Side by Side transports double basses and tubas to and from Scandinavium after rehearsals end. You must pack up your own instrument and carry it to the designated location yourself. During all other moves, you carry your own double bass/tuba. All other instruments must be carried by each participant.
Double basses and tubas must be labeled with the participant’s name and the Side by Side track name. Our transport staff will also attach temporary labels to the cases with the track name.

Food & Accommodation
Your schedule shows which meals are included for you. For accommodations, more meals are included → see accommodation info. Only take special meals if you have pre-ordered them.
Adults at Camp
We ask all Accompanying Adults to help supervise the children at Side by Side together and contribute to creating a safe, calm, and orderly environment at camp. Accompanying Adults need a booked spot to access the camp’s venues.
If you indicated that you are participating as an adult player, we ask that you let the children have priority for chairs and music stands if space becomes tight.
Concerts & Tickets
If you, as a participant, would like to attend a concert you are not performing in, you can pick up a free ticket, subject to availability, at our Biljettkassa, Konserthuset (concert ticket register) during the camp days. Read more about all Side by Side concerts.
Liseberg
Pre-booked admission tickets to Liseberg can be picked up at the Biljettkassa, Konserthuset and are valid only on Sunday 14 June.
