  • About Your Camp Days

Everything you need to know about your camp – schedule, map, and more

  • General Info

This information applies to all participants at Side by Side.

You can also download a pdf with general information.

Limited access at the Concert Hall on Saturday – Pride Parade

On Saturday, June 14th at 1:00 PM, the Pride Parade will start from Götaplatsen outside the Concert Hall. This means that there will be a traffic closure and a large crowd near the Concert Hall between approximately 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM.

    Cancellation/Waiting List

We are no longer accepting cancellations or managing the waiting list for this year's camp. We are also unable to add or replace participants.

    Rehearsals & Sectional Rehearsal Groups

It is important to be ready to play or sing when the rehearsal starts, so please arrive 15 minutes before the rehearsal starts so that you have time to tune your instruments and find your seats. The rehearsals will be held in both Swedish and English. Some instrument groups and parts will be divided into smaller groups.

    Accompanying Adults

We would like to ask all accompanying adults to help look after the children at Side by Side and help keep order and calm for the children at the camp.

We would like to ask those who want to be with us as playing adults to give the children priority for chairs and music stands if there is a shortage of space.

    Access to the Camp Area

All participants, both children and adults, will receive a wristband that will remain on your wrist throughout the camp. The wristband shows that you are participating and contributing to the camp. Please show your wristband at the request of staff and volunteers at meals, to gain access to the premises and to participate in rehearsals and concerts. If you lose your wristband or if it breaks you can ask for a new one at the office at Konserthuset.

    Bag Restrictions

Due to the security situation, we will not allow bags in the arena and the audience seats at Scandinavium. Therefore, do not bring backpacks with valuables or similar. You can bring instrument cases and bags to the foyers of Scandinavium. You can bring instruments, water bottles and anything that fits in your pockets into the arena. Some exceptions may be made for medicine bags/diaper bags and bags with spare parts for instruments.

Larger luggage will not be allowed in the foyers of either Scandinavium or Konserthuset. When checking in or out of the accommodation, you cannot store your luggage in these premises at all. You can leave your luggage at the accommodation.

At all concerts taking place at Konserthuset the audience must follow the current restrictions regarding bags (the allowed maximum size is 21x30x10 cm). This applies also to you as a participant if you are in the audience of a concert.

    Liseberg

If you have booked a ticket to Liseberg, you can pick it up at the ticket office at Konserthuset during the camp. Entrance tickets are only valid on Monday, June 16.

    Further Questions

You can find almost all information you need on our website. For questions before the camp we recommend looking at our contact list or emailing sidebyside@gso.se

Ida has also worked at the Gothenburg Opera and the Royal Swedish Opera, among others, and is an experienced emcee and scriptwriter.

In addition to happy and energetic dance lessons with the younger participants, Ida will have time to meet all the camp participants in some way during the camp days!
