Do You Want to Join the Camp?
All young singers and musicians ca 6–23 years old are welcome to apply to Side by Side. Start by looking at the track pyramid for a quick overview of our age groups and levels, then visit the different track pages below. There you will find more information about each the specific track and link to the application info/application.
The camp has seven orchestra tracks and five regular choir tracks. For participants who need special support in learning, we offer the function track OPEN CHOIR.

Play and Sing at Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra
The Swedish National Orchestra has a wide range of activities for children and young people. In addition to the summer's large Side by Side camp, other activities are also organized that guarantee energy injections, and where you get to know even more people who love music! Including the Autumn Holiday Choir, the Sports Holiday Orchestra, VÄGUS – Västra Götaland's Youth Symphony Orchestra – and several concerts.
Play in VÄGUS or Attend a Concert
Each spring and autumn term, Västra Götaland Youth Symphony Orchestra gathers for a couple of weekends for intensive rehearsals together with conductor Andreas Hanson. The days are filled with fun and community and rehearsals together with musicians from the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra. Every term, VÄGUS goes on tour in Västra Götaland and gives concerts for both adults and children.
The next VÄGUS-concert is Tuesday, September 30 at 7 PM in Gothenburg Concert Hall!

Sing in the Fall Break Choir or Attend a Concert
In the fall of 2025, the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra's Autumn Choir will perform Gabriel Fauré's magnificent choral classic Requiem for choir and soloists under the direction of Kim Phipps. During the course, you will develop your singing voice while working on stage with professional singers, musicians and teachers in one of the world's finest concert halls!
The Fall Break Choir's finale concert is Wednesday, October 29 at 6 PM in the Gothenburg Concert Hall!
